Extra 5

Traveling North.

This shot was left over from Motion week. It was taken out of the window of a taxi, traveling over the Sydney Harbour Bridge on my way to work. I'm fond of the colours and the lines in this one - it seems to sum up the blur of that morning journey (especially if I haven't had coffee!).

I'm curious - are people enjoying the random outtakes week? Tell me what you think!

Motion 7

Glowsticks in the back yard.

We had a lot of fun making this. I was tempted to post the shot of the Houseguest writing 'poo' in green glowstick, but good taste won out - aren't you glad?

Many thanks to Bronwen and Mark for being willing to be silly under the fairy lights for this one.

EDIT: Good taste didn't entirely win - you can see Mark's literary masterpiece on Flickr.

Motion 6

Harbinger in the breeze

It was a hot day today. Bing was upset by all the strangers who came through looking at our auction-bound house, but swaying curtain and the breeze calmed her down.

Motion 5

Newtown at dusk.

Playing with night photography is fun! It's not something I've done before - I'm planning on doing more of it. That being said, this is the theme I've found the hardest . I'm only just starting to get ideas about things to do - and it's already Friday! I knew this theme would be a challenge, and I've been learning a lot from it. Hopefully I can come up with something interesting for tomorrow and Sunday as well.

What have people thought of this week's shots so far?

Light blurs into motion

Motion 2

Sydney University - my journey to work.

Thankfully, not all of the long trip to work consists of sitting in traffic. I leave home at ungodly-o'clock; it does make some difference.

Motion 1

My wheels.

Not the cheeriest of pictures today, but then we can't always be technicolour campers, can we? Something more exciting tomorrow, I hope.

The theme for the week starting Monday, November 12th...

... is MOTION.
