And more wallpapers

TiF Bamboo Gardens-6

This image at the top is actually my favourite from the series. I was photographing around a concept of serenity and tranquility, and for me at least, this one one of the images that embodied it the most strongly. Well, this one and the waterfall.

But then again, who can resist a swarm of hungry koi?

Stone 7

Stone 7

Headstone, St Stephens Cemetery.

There's nothing quite as peaceful as a graveyard in the rain. And just to prove that it isn't just me who thinks that, or the odd goth who isn't afraid of melting their makeup, we had plenty of company in the cemetery today. From the odd churchgoer, through people walking dogs and/or children (with and without leashes in both cases), to the two girls with the videocamera, the cemetery was well attended. It was nice to see.

And I think a headstone is a very fitting end to Stone week, don't you?

Stone 5

Stone 5

Lion defender, Newtown.

We have stone animals scattered around our house, too, although none quite as nobly imposing as this fellow. Mainly dragons - sleeping dragons, alert dragons, friendly dragons. They guard the entrances to the house, and try to keep bad things - or people - out. Now that the house has been sold, we'll have to find new places for them to guard - a new windowsill for the sleeping one to curl up by, and another doorstep for the quiet one to hide under. It won't be their first move, and I'm sure it won't be our last.

Stone 3

Stone 3

Rockpools, Manly beach.

Too tired for commentary, me, except to say that this was the view from my work Christmas lunch. I really like my company!
