Plane trees, Newtown Square, Spring.

The very first theme on this blog was Green, so it seemed appropriate that it be the final post for Extra week. I lay on my back and stared up at the sky for this, on a lovely Spring day. To me, I can still see 'Spring' in the photo.

Under the railway line, Enmore.

Believe it or not, this was taken for Stone week, not Night. It obviously enough wasn't especially stone-like, so you see it here instead of in the week it was taken.

Traveling North.

This shot was left over from Motion week. It was taken out of the window of a taxi, traveling over the Sydney Harbour Bridge on my way to work. I'm fond of the colours and the lines in this one - it seems to sum up the blur of that morning journey (especially if I haven't had coffee!).

Succulents and seashells.

This was a leftover from last week, unsurprisingly enough. It was Xole (who has her own blog , unsurprisingly called A Succulent Obsession) who got me interested in succulents; the shells were my idea.

It's a photo to fit my mood today; quiet and soft and a little convalescent. I've tendonitis in my wrists again, which made walking very painful yesterday, and my digestive system is being rebellious today... I'll spare you the details. So quietly cloudlit pictures of small details seemed appropriate.

This is the shot I was trying to get when my batteries died during Urban week. I went back afterwards tp try again, and here we are.

I hope everyone had, or is having, a lovely Christmas - and may no-one get a hangover any worse than mine currently is.

Tree and surf, Manly beach.

This, obviously enough, was originally taken for Water week. I didn't feel it said 'water' clearly enough, so it didn't make it in. I was happy with the picture, though, so I'm glad to be able to show it to you know.

House on the corner, Newtown.

Another one from the Night sequence, this is. I realy liked it, but didn't find a way to include it in its proper week... so you're getting it now. This is a prettily colourful house during the day, but at night, as you can see, it glows.

As you can see, I'm still well and truly infatuated with night photography.

SIDE NOTE: The computer I'm using while I'm away doesn't seem to like showing images. I've checked and triple checked the links, and they seem fine, so I'm hoping it's just the vaguaries of an older machine. If anyone else is not seeing the photos, comment, please, so I know it's not just me. Actually, I'd quite like it if you'd comment if you CAN see them too, so I can stop worrying.

Theme for the week starting Monday December 24th...

... is something a little different. It's Christmas after all, and I'm busy, with intermittent net access - and I suspect the same is true for y'all as well. So rather than do a new theme, I'll show you some of the photos that weren't included in the themes we've already had. There are some that didn't quite fit the theme of the week, and some that I just didn't have room for.

Hence, the theme for this week is EXTRA.

And happy festive season!
