Chocolate 3

Chocolate 3

Apricot and Cognac Aardvarque chocolate tastiness.

I've been friends with Mark for a long time - over ten years now. He's been there for me through a lot of things - good and bad. About a year and a half ago he made the ultimate sacrifice to friendship - he became a chocolatier making fabulously decadent handmade, organic chocolates from fairtrade-sourced dark chocolate.

And it's gooooood. The apricot and cognac one here bathed my entire kitchen in a rich cognac-chocolate smell - it almost didn't last the whole photo shoot without being eaten. He has a website now - aardvarque.net. It's still waiting for product shots since the chocolate seems to get bought and eaten before I have a chance to eat photograph it. Yum!

I think that it's awesome that you eat fairtrade-sourced chocolate. I wish many more people knew about the child slavery issues of other chocolates.
Great photoblog you have here. I will keep reading it. Keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks! It's really important to me to eat Fairtrade chocolate, and drink Fairtrade coffee, wherever I can. I try not to ram it down people's throats, but I do my best to make sure that my lifestyle hurts as few people as I can pracitcally manage.

And you have some pretty damned nice work yourself on yours; how nice to have the chance to follow it!
